BMW 3 of the E46 series

1 Completely extend a steering wheel with the adjusting device and displace down.

2 Unscrew a crosswise screw-driver-2 screws of fastening of the top facing of a steering column-1-. 3 – a lateral clip, 4 – the lobbies directing. The steering wheel and the lower facing on an illustration are not shown.

3 press the top facing at the left and on the right at first in points-3-, then in points-4-A little and pull up. Thus, the top facing separates.

4 Take out the top facing of a steering column-1-of a back cover-5-(shooters on an illustration) and remove it.

5 Move a steering wheel with the adjustment mechanism completely up.

6 Disconnect the lower facing of a steering column-7-. For this purpose press through a pin-9-on both nasechny rivets back.

7 Remove the lower facing down. Take out pins from rivets.

8 Put into place the lower facing and press nasechny rivets. Press aflush pins.
9 Move completely down a steering wheel with the adjustment mechanism.
10 Put the top facing in a back cover.
11 Put the top facing with clips through sending to the lower facing, press down and record.
12 Replace a nasechny nut of the top facing and screw screws.
13 Establish a steering column in normal situation.
