| HUNDRED instead of a cover of an oil filter at petrol engines install the special BMW tool with accession for the manometer. As in most cases such tool available is not present, an inspection is carried out with use of the dismantled oil pressure relay sensor. |
1 Check oil level, if necessary add.
2 Start the engine and warm up it. Temperature of oil has to be about +80 °C.
3 The sensor of the relay of pressure of oil-12-is on the case of an oil filter-11-. Turn off a bolt-2-and uncover an oil filter that oil from the filter merged in the engine. There is other execution of an oil filter with a screw cover. Turn off a cover of the filter and remove it, address to the Section Replacement of Motive Oil and Oil Filter.
4 Disconnect a cable from the sensor of the relay of pressure and turn out the sensor.

| Wipe the flowed-out oil a rag. |
5 Instead of the sensor of the relay of pressure of oil screw the corresponding manometer.
6 Fix a cover of an oil filter.
7 Start the engine and let's it work on single turns until the control lamp goes out. Value of pressure is given in Specifications.
8 Increase engine turns. Check the oil pressure upon 5000 rpm.
9 Turn off a cover of the filter and remove it that oil flew down in the engine.
10 Insert the oil pressure sensor with a sealing ring and fix the moment 20 N • m. Join the socket and fix it.
11 Replace sealing rings on a cover of an oil filter and the central pipeline. Fix a cover on the case of an oil filter the moment of 25 N • m, address to the Section Replacement of Motive Oil and Oil Filter. |
