Replacement of motive oil and oil filter
Motive oil can be sucked away by means of a special probe (is available at gas stations) through a tube of the probe of measurement of level of oil. After that it is necessary to fill system with oil, as a rule. Do not pour out the fulfilled oil together with household waste or otherwise. It can cause environmental pollution. Expediently when replacing oil to fix on the engine a label with brand of oil and its viscosity. Use of oils of various types adversely affects operation of the engine. It is not recommended to mix various brands of oils also. Motive oils of the same type and brand, but various viscosity in necessary cases, in particular in off-season, can mix up. It will be necessary for work for you: - The tool for exhaustion of oil and capacity for collecting oil if oil is exhausted. - If oil merges: A viewing hole or the hydraulic garage elevator with supports, and also a head for an otvorachivaniye of a stopper of a drain opening. - Petrol engine: The HAZET 2169 tool for an otvorachivaniye of a cover of an oil filter. - Capacity for collecting oil not less than 7 l. Necessary operational materials / spare parts: - Depending on the engine from 4.0 to 6.5 l of motive oil. It is necessary to apply only the oil resolved by BMW firm, address to Specifications. - The filtering element of an oil filter. - Only if oil is not sucked away: Aluminum laying for a stopper of a drain opening. The carving of a stopper has the outer diameter of 12 mm, laying has the A12 x 15.5 size and is sometimes delivered complete with an oil filter. - A sealing ring for the case of an oil filter and depending on execution one or two sealing rings for the central bolt. Protect environment, do not pour out the fulfilled oil at all and do not delete it together with household waste. Removal of motive oil Motive oil can or be removed through an opening of the shchupovy index of level, or to merge from the case pallet. Exhaustion requires the special pump. Thus it is necessary to watch that the hose corresponded to the directing tube of the index of level. Devices for exhaustion can be available at gas stations. However thus, as a rule, it is necessary to buy oil at the same station. 1 Warm up oil up to the working temperature. For this purpose pass on the car so that the index of temperature of cooling liquid showed normal working temperature.

10 Clear a cover of an oil filter.

16 Insert the new filtering element into the case.
17 Replace rubber rings (with illustrations 6.15) on the central bolt and a cover. Oil new sealing rings the motive. 18 Put directly from above a cover of an oil filter with an oil pipeline and press it. Thus the oil pipeline enters the corresponding opening at the filter bottom. 19 Tighten a cover the moment of 25 N • m. Filling of system with oil 20 Screw a stopper of a drain opening with a new sealing ring and tighten densely but so that not to press. The inhaling moment for M12 carving (a key "17") makes 25 N • m, for M22 carving – 60 N • m. 21 Fill in new oil through a jellied branch pipe of a cover of a head of cylinders. The volume of the filled-in oil is specified in Specifications.
22 Start the engine and let's it work on single turns until the control lamp goes out. Stop the engine. 23 Having waited for 5 min., check the level of oil and if necessary add oil. The difference between marks of level of Min and Max oil corresponds to the volume of 1 l. 24 Close the gate in a cover of a motive compartment under the pallet of a case and turn a crosswise screw-driver a locking element on 1/4 turns, having fixed, thus, the gate. 25 Pass on the car and check tightness of a drain stopper and oil filter. If necessary carefully tighten. |
