Adjustment of headlights

The correct adjustment of headlights is of great importance for traffic safety. Exact adjustment of headlights is possible only with use of the special device. Therefore here is only shown where it is possible to regulate headlights, and what conditions have to be satisfied for the correct adjustment.

1 Pressure of air in tires has to correspond to the established value.
2 Not loaded car has to have freight weighing 75 kg on a driver's seat.
3 Fill a fuel tank at least for 90%.
4 Install the car on an equal platform.
5 Several times strongly press through forward part of the car that the suspension bracket adopted the working provision.
6 Install the regulator of range of light on "0".

At cars with xenon lamps of a passing beam (the additional equipment) after inclusion of light wait for not less than 30 with that automatic adjustment of range of light was adjusted.

7 Farah it is allowed to regulate only on a passing beam. The inclination of a beam of light for normal headlights makes 10 cm by 10 m of length.

8 Adjust headlights by rotation of adjusting screws-1-and/or
- 2-.

1 adjusting screw for adjustment generally down
2 adjusting screw for adjustment generally across

On an illustration the left headlight is shown, at the right headlight adjusting screws are located specularly. At rotation of the adjusting screw the beam of light moves always on a vertical and a horizontal. The unidirectional arrangement of adjusting screws is impossible.

The inclination of a beam of light for a fog light makes 20 cm by 10 m of length.
