The lever is fixed independently. If the ignition key is in situation 2, on a control panel the control lamp will burn thus

Pull the lever a little up, press the button and lower the lever down.
The parking brake is intended only for deduction of the motionless car from spontaneous start-off from a place and affects back wheels.
If as an exception it is necessary to use the parking brake during the movement, do not tighten it with a big force. Thus it is necessary to hold constantly pressed the button on the lever.
The strong tightening of the parking brake can lead to blocking of back wheels and drift of the car. At a tightening of the parking brake stoplights do not light up.
Cars with RKPP: at a parking on roads with a strong bias tighten the parking brake as inclusion of the first transfer or transfer of a backing under certain circumstances is insufficient to prevent spontaneous start-off of the car from a place.
Cars with AT: transfer the AT selector lever to situation P.
In order to avoid formation of corrosion from time to time slightly tighten the lever of the parking brake at an entrance at a small speed to the traffic light if, certainly, it is allowed by a road and transport situation. |
