Check of the sensor of a reserve of fuel

In the course of decrease in level of fuel in a tank also the float in the stock sensor falls. Thus resistance of the sensor having the sliding contact at the same time decreases. The microprocessor in the dashboard block proceeding from resistance of the sensor and other data calculates fuel level in a tank and brings data to the dashboard. Both sensors are checked equally.

The fuel pump in the right sensor of a stock can be checked only for HUNDRED.


 CHECK

1 Remove the sensor.
2 Attach an ohmmeter to stock sensor plug plugs.
3 Keep the sensor in working situation. Thus the float is below and the indicator on the panel shows "A fuel reserve". The demanded value of resistance: 70 ± 2 Ohms.
4 Turn the sensor on a corner 180 ° (put it on the head), thus the float is above. The indicator on the panel shows "full".

The demanded value:
right sensor 402 ± 6 Ohms
left sensor 362 ± 6 Ohms
5 If necessary replace the damaged stock sensor in a set.

Sensors are delivered only in a set, separate details cannot be replaced.
