Adjustment of a cowl

The drive connecting both locks of a cowl has to be adjusted so that it had no gap. The cover of the drive has to sit completely in directing in the lock. Otherwise owing to a cowl drive tension the cable in the directing can slip out then will be not to open locks.

As the cowl is driven and fastens in an unpainted body, owing to the subsequent shift of a cowl its unpainted surfaces can be bared.

1 Adjust the loop screw-1 at the left and on the right, having received the size A = 12 mm.

2 Check an emphasis-2-, if necessary replace a loop.

3 Adjust the cowl drive so that it had no side play.

The cable of the drive should not be tense. For descriptive reasons the drive and locks are shown in the removed state.

4 Completely screw a cowl emphasis.

5 Weaken screws-2-and-3 of a loop-1-at the left and on the right so that the cowl could be displaced. 4 – fastening of a cable of weight (address to an illustration 13.3).
6 Close a cowl and expose in relation to wings in front and on each side.

If the range of regulation is not enough, weaken screws of fastening of loops of a cowl and displace loops on a body.

7 Carefully open a cowl and fix screws of loops.

Adjustment of a cowl on height

8 Weaken screws-1 of fastening of both emphasis so that an emphasis could be displaced. 3 – gripping hook.

9 Several times close a cowl so that it was possible to combine locks.
10 Tighten screws of fastening of an emphasis of the lock.

11 Turn off a lock-nut-1-and turn an emphasis a-2-face key-3-.

12 Thus, expose a cowl on identical height in relation to wings. Thus watch a parallel gap in relation to a front bumper.
13 Tighten a lock-nut.
14 Check, whether locks and hooks-4-are correctly interfaced, if necessary repeat adjustment.

Adjustment of an emphasis

15 Open a cowl.

16 Turn out an emphasis so that the cowl was under some tension. For this purpose form two columns about 10 mm high from plasticine. Establish columns on an emphasis and close a cowl. Open a cowl and measure height of an emphasis and the squeezed column. Turn out an emphasis at a size of the received size + 0.5 mm. Thus, adjust all emphasis.

17 Check, whether the emphasis without gap adjoins to all emphasis, otherwise repeat adjustment.

The cowl should not be above a wing, differently there can be a noise of a wind at the movement.
