Check of fuel system, replacement of the fuel filter. Operation of diesel model in the conditions of winter

Petrol engine

Gasoline is extremely flammable therefore during the work with any components of fuel system it is necessary to take special precautionary measures. Do not smoke, and do not come nearer to a venue of works with naked flame or the carrying unprotected by the lamp shade. Do not perform such works in the garages equipped with the heating devices working at natural gas (such as vodogre, dryers, etc.). The working platform has to be ventilated well. At hit of gasoline on skin immediately wash away it water with soap. When carrying out any works with fuel system put on goggles and hold near at hand the fire extinguisher. In case of a gasoline spillage immediately wipe a pool, but do not keep the rags impregnated with gasoline in places where it can self-ignite.


1 If you felt a gasoline smell during the movement or after the car stood on the sun, it is necessary to check a condition of all fuel system immediately.
2 Uncover a fuel tank and check it for existence of damages and corrosion. The sealing insert on a cover has to be whole. In case of existence of damages or corrosion replace a cover.
3 Survey inlet and returnable lines of fuel system on existence of cracks. Make sure that connections between lines of fuel system and system of injection of fuel, and also between lines of fuel system and the built-in fuel filter did not weaken.

On the cars equipped with system of injection of fuel before serving fuel hoses, it is necessary to dump pressure in system.


4 As some components of fuel system - for example, the fuel tank and some lines of fuel system - are in the lower part of the car, it is easier to examine them when the car is raised by the winch. If it is impossible, the car and install to a poddomkratta it on support.
5 On the raised car examine a fuel tank and a bulk mouth on existence of holes, cracks and other damages. Pay special attention to a condition of connection between a bulk mouth and a tank. Sometimes leak of fuel happens owing to weakening of collars of fastening of a rubber mouth or because of mouth material damage. Examine all arms and tapes of fastening of a fuel tank to make sure that it is reliably strengthened on the car.

Never, under no circumstances, try to repair a fuel tank (excepting replacement of its rubber components). The flame of the welding machine or any other naked flame can easily lead to explosion of evaporations of gasoline in a tank.


6 Carefully check all fuel hoses and metal lines going from a tank for existence of the weakened connections, twisting, signs of wear of materials of hoses and other damages. If necessary make repair or replace the damaged sections.

7 no additives are added To diesel fuel. Kerosene addition is allowed – address to Specifications.
8 If the engine is not started owing to fuel jelling, to start it very hard. For start:

a) Remove the fuel filter and heat in a water bathtub until fuel becomes liquid., or replace it new.
b) Roll the car in the heated garage.
c) Spray fuel system hot water.
d) The BOSCH firm delivers the diesel heater for additional installation. The electric heater is installed in the additional pipeline to the fuel filter.

It is not necessary to warm system of injection or a fuel tank a blowtorch or other similar adaptation in view of danger of explosion at all!


Removal sediment/replacement of the fuel filter

Regularly or at emergence of the corresponding signal on the control panel from the filter water has to be removed. Water is formed, as a rule, in a fuel tank as a result of condensation or gets together with fuel at gas station.

It will be necessary for carrying out work for you:

- The manual vacuum pump with a capacity for collecting fuel from the filter, for example, KLANN LI-75200.
- Boss of the fuel filter.
- Sealing ring of a cover of the filter.
- Capacity for collecting the water which is in the filter.

At hit of the following diesel fuel on rubber details it is necessary to wipe the last at once (hoses of cooling liquid). Otherwise fuel gradually leads to failure of rubber details.

Protect environment, do not pour out the fulfilled oil at all and do not delete it together with household waste.


 REMOVAL

- Near a workplace do not smoke, do not use naked flame and the heated or very hot subjects. There is a risk of fire! Keep in readiness the fire extinguisher.

- Watch surely sufficient ventilation of a workplace. Fuel couples are poisonous.

1 Switch off ignition.

2 Turn off a cover on the case of the fuel filter a head on 27 mm.

3 Keep in readiness a rag. Take out an old fuel cartridge, wipe the flowing-down fuel.


 INSTALLATION

1 Before installation of the new boss it is necessary to remove water from the case of the fuel filter. The ordinary manual vacuum pump, for example, of KLANN LI-75200 is for this purpose necessary. Insert the soaking-up tube into the filter case.

Do not allow hit of liquid in the vacuum pump.

2 Manual pump pump out liquid from the filter case in capacity.
3 Check, whether there is no dirt in the filter case. If necessary wipe the case a rag.
4 Insert a new cartridge.
5 Screw a cover with a new sealing ring the moment of 25 N • m.
6 Include for one minute ignition so, without starting the engine. The Toplivopodkachivayushchy pump will turn on, will fill the fuel filter and will remove air from fuel system.
7 Visually check tightness of fuel system, in particular, in places of connections of the fuel filter.
